As ITM Group, we believe in the development, innovation, and expansion of differential and novel structural spaces. This structure is distinguished by its innovative design, which resembles a large trunk of a Ceiba tree, the National Tree of Guatemala.
The project covers an area of 2,800 square meters and effective planning was carried out for the type of structure to be built. It should be noted that it is unique of its kind in the country.
The design was an arduous process that surpassed the construction paradigms in Guatemala.
The assembly process began with research into a series of technical and logistical specifications. Single-bolt connections with connecting spheres were used, achieving an upward assembly technique, starting from the central base and expanding in such a way that the structure reached a clear diameter of one hundred meters.
It was decided to use electrostatic powder coating, which allows for durability and an aesthetic finish. It is worth noting that Grupo ITM is currently the only company in the region that uses this painting process for any type of structure.
