As ITM Group believes in the development, innovation, and expansion of differential and resourceful structural spaces. This structure is distinguished by its innovative design that resembles a large trunk of a Ceiba, Guatemala’s National tree.
The project covers an area of 2,800 square meters and there was effective planning for the type of structure to be built. It should be noted that it is unique in its class and in the country.
The assembly process began with the investigation of a series of technical and logistical specifications. A single bolt joint with connecting spheres was used, employing an ascending assembly technique. This process started from the central base and expanded outward until the structure reached a diameter of one hundred meters.
It was decided to use electrostatic powder coating, which allows for durability and an aesthetic finish. It should be noted that Grupo ITM is currently the only one in the region that uses this coating process for any type of structure.
