The Chaparrastique sugar mill is generating its own electricity for the operation of the sugar processing plants. Additionally, it is offering some of this energy to improve the electrical system in the eastern zone, in San Miguel and La Unión. 

The project optimizes the energy generation process through the installation of state-of-the-art equipment for interconnection to the 115Kv national electric transmission grid.

Always committed to development, Grupo ITM was in charge of manufacturing and supplying all the lattice structures for the proper functioning of the substation, contributing 58 tons of structures in accordance with the specified loads and particularities requested by the client, in compliance with current international standards for such substations.
